Daet, Camarines Norte (Hulyo 14, 2016) – Ang 5th Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (PDRR/CCA) Skills Olympics simula Hulyo 27-29, 2016 ang sentrong gawain sa selebrasyon dito ng National Disaster Consciousness (NDC) Month na may temang “Kahandaan at Pagtugon sa Sakuna, Tungkulin ng Bawat Isa”. Idaraos ito sa Camarines Norte Sanayang Pangkaligatasan Sitio Mat-e, Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Vinzons, Camarines Norte.
Nahahati sa tatlong kategorya ang naturang skills olympics: 1) ES – elementary category (Junior I SBK), 2) HS – high school category (Junior II Super Batang Kalasag), at 3) CL – College Category (College Emergency action Teams).

Bubuuin ng 12-15 na estudyante ang bawat kalahok na koponan kung saan 10 sa kanila ang magiging opisyal na manlalaro, 2 ang patient/reserves, at 3 naman ang reserve players. Ang mga kalahok sa elementary level ay dapat na umabot sa timbang na 20-25 kgs. samantalang sa high school at college levels naman ay dapat na may bigat na 40-45 kgs.

Narito ang iskedyul ng mga gawain sa tatlong araw na skills olympics:
Day 1 (Hulyo 27): Registration of Participants – 5:00am, Opening Program and Final Briefing – 8:00am, Quiz Relay – 10:00am-12:00nn, Bandaging, Transfer, CPR & Scenario Relay (ES), Typhoon Tracking & Hazard Identification (HS & CL) – 1:00pm-6:00pm, at ang Pakinabang sa Basura Challenge (ES & HS) kasabay ng Fire Rescue & Evacuation Scenario (CL) – 7:00pm-10:00pm.
Day 2 (Hulyo 28): Pakinabang sa Basura Challenge (CL) – 7:00am-8:00am, Typhoon Tracking & Hazard identification (ES) at Bandaging, Transfer, CPR, & Scenario (HS & CL) – 8:00am-12:00nn, Fire Control Techniques (ES) at Obstacle Traverse (HS & CL) – 1:00-6:00pm, at Special Event: DRR & CCA Group Presentation (Cheering, Yelling, and/or Talent Presentation) – 7:00-10:00pm.
Day 3 (Hulyo 29): Obstacle Traverse (ES) at Fire Control Techniques (HS & CL) – 8:00am-12:00nn, at Closing and Awarding Program – 1:00-4:00pm.
Ang over-all category winners ay makakatanggap ng mga sumusunod na premyo: champion – Php20,000.00, 1st runner-up – Php15,000.00, 2nd runner-up – Php10,000.00, at 3rd runner-up – Php5,000.00. Samantala ang event winners ay makakatanggap ng: Php500.00 – best team per event, Php300.00 – 1st runner up, at Php200.00 – 2nd runner up.

Ang naturang annual PDRR/CCA skills olympics na ikalimang taon na ngayon ay isinasagawa sa pakikipagtulungan ng Office of Civil Defense Region 5 (OCD 5), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Provincial Health Office Health Emergency Management Staff (PHO HEMS), Philippine Red Cross (PRC), PAGASA, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), at ng lahat ng Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices dito sa probinsya ng Camarines Norte.
