BARANGAY IV PLAYERS BAGS AWARD DURING THE MB2K FREE-THROW AND THREE-POINT SHOOTING CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIP

After 3 months of elimination round, top 10 players from free-throw and three-point shooting challenge in LGU Daet’s THE MB2K FREE-THROW AND THREE-POINT SHOOTING CHALLENGE played in championship match last September 25, 2021 held at Camarines Norte Agro Sports Center.

Jordas Brothers from Brgy. IV, tops and tied the free-throwing challenge after gaining 31 points each. Arvin Jordas with 18 pts, the oldest among the two, won in the tie-breaker against his younger brother, Glenzon Jay Jordas with 15 pts. The free-throw shooting players’ goal is to shoot 40 balls in 150 seconds. Arvin Jordas also received leather basketball ball sponsored by Councilor Eliza H. Llovit, cash prize and plaque of recognition as finalist and champion on the said challenge.

Meanwhile, Lucky Negado, another finalist from Brgy. IV won the three-point shooting challenge after gaining 15 points in three-point shooting challenge. Negado also received leather basketball ball, cash prize and plaque. Arvin Jordas places second on three-point shooting after scoring 14 points.

All finalists received plaque and a cash prize from LGU Daet.

LGU Daet Municipal Administrator Joan Tabernilla- De Luna and Councilor Hon. Eliza H. Llovit join in the championship game to give awards to the finalist and personally congratulate the winners. She is also one of the sponsors of the activity together with Esquinita Restobar, Kusog Bicolandia and Bokal Atoy Moreno. Municipal Sports Coordinator Sherwin Asis also thanked everyone who supported and participated in the activity.

Overall, the activity met its goal to have a recreation activity for the young people of the municipality of Daet. Players and basketball enthusiast also expressed positive feedback on the activity’s success.
