One hundred fifty displaced workers from Daet, Camarines Norte attended TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay) Orientation on October 9, 2021 held at Municipal Covered Court, Brgy. Pamorangon, Daet, Camarines Norte.
Through the effort of Mayor Benito S. Ochoa in coordination with the office of Sen. Leila De Lima and Department of Labor and Employment, the 150 beneficiaries started their orientation and their community-based work.
The beneficiaries of the TUPAD program will be employed for 10 working days and will receive a minimum wage of P310.00 per day or a total of P3,100.00.
TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance program of DOLE that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, as well those that are self-employed, underemployed or unemployed.
The program also reaches out to individuals who have lost their livelihood because of natural calamities or disasters.
