Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD) Camarines Norte Provincial Action Team Leader – Claudio Villareal Jr. stated that children are allowed to conduct caroling during Christmas season for as long as it would follow the safety and health protocols against COVID-19.
According to Villareal, caroling is one of the cultures and traditions of the Filipino every yuletide season. In his statement, he said that if it is only a simple caroling around the neighbourhood, he sees no problem about it. Meanwhile, if the children are underage, they should be under supervision of parent, guardian or any adult to guarantee that they will be following the protocols accordingly to the province’s alert level.
He also emphasized that the protocols given by Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infection Diseases are strictly to be followed to prevent the possible widespread of the virus.
