Due to COVID-19 pandemic, lots of social gathering and events were forcedly stopped due to the prevention of the widespread of the virus. One of the activities that the people used to love is playing sports like basketball.
Local Government Unit (LGU) Daet has been active in conducting activities like basketball tournament to showcase the skills of Daeteños in sports and giving them avenue to enjoy until pandemic happened last 2020.
But as the cases of COVID-19 in the province decreases and the number of residents who are already vaccinated increases, the local government decided to bring back the one of the most awaited activities of the basketball enthusiast in town.
Before the year ends, the MB2K Basketball Grandpix will finally go back to give excitement and fun to basketball enthusiasts.
This activity is supported and sponsored of the Local Government Unit of Daet headed by Mayor Benito Ochoa and Provincial Government of Camarines Norte through the leadership of Governor Edgardo A. Tallado.
There will be four (4) categories for the tournament: 36 up, 35 under, 21 under and 19 under (women). All categories are open entry. All participants should be fully vaccinated to be able to join in the tournament.
Deadlines of submission of entries will be on December 22, 2021. Opening day of the tournament will be on December 29, 2021.
The tournament duration will be from December 2021 to February 2022 to be held at Camarines Norte Agro Sports Center.
