During the Awareness Campaign on ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025 in the Philippines, held last December 06, 2021, via Zoom in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte was named Champion of the Enabling Masterplan in Local Governance – Provincial Government Unit level.
The CALL Foundation of the Blind, Inc. and the ASEAN Disability Forum co-hosted the event (ADF). Governor Edgardo A. Tallado accepted the award on behalf of the provincial administration, which was recognized for its remarkable achievement in developing the “Camarines Norte Enabling Masterplan 2025: Equity and Inclusion for ALL,” a five-year provincial enabling masterplan that runs through 2025.
The campaign aims to raise awareness, understanding, and cooperation among the country’s various stakeholders about the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025 and its 76 key action points, as well as advocate for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the country’s national plan of actions and strategies for implementing the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025.
One of the highlights of the event is the honoring of some government agencies and local government units for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Masterplan’s main action items and integrating them into their various programs and services.
