In preparation for the expected typhoon Odette, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) safeguards and secures their personnel and equipment for immediate response and preparedness to the said typhoon.
PCG already preparing search and rescue equipment like speedboat, and life vest. Earlier this morning, accounting and inventory of the equipment were done by the personnel for the preparation.
According to PCG, the Deployable Response Groups are ready to any distress call that may happen during the typhoon.
Moreover, fishermen are encouraged to temporarily postpone their fishing activities due to the current weather condition.
