THE EXPANDED COVID-19 WARD IN CNPH, NOW OCCUPIES COVID-19 PATIENTS!

After the construction of the expanded COVID-19 ward in front of the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital (CNPH), it is now being used to occupy additional COVID-19 patients.

Last October 2021, the expanded ward was constructed at the height of increasing cases of COVID-19. However, it was not yet used when the active cases of the virus decreased during the last quarter of 2021.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) funded the said expansion project.

Each room has its own bed, electric fan, exhaust fan and own comfort room. Oxygen will also be provided for each room.

According to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arnel Francisco, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) is now preparing for the possible entry of the Omricon COVID-19 variant in the province after recording an omricon variant case in the neighboring province which is Camarines Sur.
