CNPH LIMITS OB SECTION ADMISSION AS ISOLATION FACILITY NEARLY REACHED FULL CAPACITY

The Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital (CNPH) limits admission for the Obstetrician-Gynecology (OB) Section as its isolation facility for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) positive patients nearly reached its full capacity.

According to the latest advisory released by the said office today, January 11, 2022, signed by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arnel Francisco, the public was advised that the CPNH will only accept referrals of complicated RAT positive pregnant patients and those who are of high risk such as first pregnancy, with co morbidities, teenage pregnancy, elderly, etc.

With regards to this, referrals of uncomplicated RAT positive pregnant women for Normal Spontaneous Delivery (NSD) will not be accommodated as of the moment.

Moreover, Primary Birthing Facilities within the province are advised to have an isolation area for uncomplicated RAT positive patients.

Said move was done to avoid congestion and mitigate the spread of infection. Implementation will last until lifted.
