LGU DAET TO ROLL OUT MOBILE VACCINATION WITHIN BARANGAYS

The Local Government of Daet thru Municipal Health Office is set to roll out mobile vaccination activities within its 25 barangays as soon as requirements are met to achieve population protection against Covid-19.

Daet Municipal Councilor and Health Committee Chair Eliza H. Llovit said in an interview today that the mobile vaccination will be conducted as soon as the data regarding vaccination among all the Barangays are gathered.

According to her, said plan has already been tackled during the Daet Covid19 Task Force Meeting held last January 4, 2022 attended by all concerned individuals.

She said further that Barangay Officials were already instructed to prepare their statistical records on the number of vaccinated and unvaccinated constituents to determine which among the barangays are to be of top priority when mobile vaccination starts.

Barangays who had the lowest number of vaccinated individuals will be the first in the list and constituents who are under categories of senior citizens, persons with disabilities, persons with comorbidities and other important considerations will be prioritized.

Going hand on hand with this activity is the intensive information dissemination about the importance of vaccine in order to convince qualified unvaccinated individuals to take their shots as vaccines are extensively studied, tested, monitored and were made to protect ourselves and others from the virus.

Said move also aims to ease off long queues and saturation of people in vaccination areas.

Councilor Llovit stated that the LGU headed by Mayor Benito Ochoa is hopeful that ramping up vaccination in its people is a step towards protecting its people and to avert further transmission of the virus.
