To be a plantita and plantito is now a trend for plenty of people these days. According to most of them, the reason why they love plants is because plants make them happy and it’s good for their mental health. Some people cannot relate, but to the plant enthusiast and collectors these days, every plant that they buy really brings comfort to them and is worth every penny and is also actually a good investment.
Here in Daet, Camarines Norte, there is this place that seems to be a paradise for the plantitos and plantitas in town! It is located at Luisito St. in Barangay II and it’s called OCEAN’s Grown Plant Nursery where you’ll find the rarest plant not just in the country but also in the world!
OCEAN’s was established by Mr. Malaluan Malaluan and his wife, Ms. Anna who came from a family of entrepreneurs and has a huge interest in plants and agriculture business.
Their growing business in plant industry is actually the biggest plant nursery in the province. According to the Malaluans, they started on collecting herbs and went through trial and error process until growing different kinds of plants – from the most affordable and ordinary to the top rare plants which prices are really jaw-dropping.
OCEAN’s offers wide variety of plants. Common plants like syngonium can be found in their nursery, but what awes the plant enthusiasts are the top rare plants that can be found like the Imperial Variegated Billitiea, Variegated Black Majesty and Imperial Red Variegated. These top rare plants actually cost around P200,000.00 to P350,000.00. Jaw-dropping right?
But not only that, they also have the “rarest of rare” plants like espiritu sancti and Philodendron Billietiae Variegated that costs almost half a million pesos!
But as the plant enthusiast community grows not just only in the province but also throughout the country, these rare plants are still being sold and have a high demand in the market.
Aside from their local buyers, one of their loyal customers is the plant enthusiast and actress, Ms. Aubrey Miles who has been patronizing the available rare plants in their nursery.
