PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE SECURES ENOUGH HOSPITAL BEDS FOR COVID-19 PATIENTS IN CAMARINES NORTE PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL

Daet, Camarines Norte – In the sudden rise up of COVID-19 cases, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) sees to it that Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital (CNPH) has enough hospital beds to accommodate possible corona virus-infected patients in the province.

According to Provincial Health Office, Dr. Arnel Francisco, lack of hospital beds is not an issue to CNPH these days because there are private hospitals that can also accommodate COVID-19 patience in case of a sudden increase of cases.

Some COVID-19 patients who are asymptomatic and have only mild symptoms are under Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) of their respective Local Government Unit (LGU), and not required to be confined in the hospital. This helps the isolation facility to maintain the availability of some beds that can be used for those patients who really need confinement.

Aside from this, COVID-19 patients are not required to finish their isolation period in the hospital depending on their recovery. Patients who are on their recovery process can now continue their quarantine/isolation period at TTMF.

Meanwhile, Dr. Francisco guarantees that healthcare workers or frontlines for COVID-19 are adequate because of the strategies of CNPH.
