Camarines Norte recorded seven (7) new COVID-19 active cases in the recent Department of Health (DOH) Bicol Center for Health Development (CHD) case bulletin yesterday, January 17,2022.
Two among the new cases are from the Municipality of Daet; 2 from Labo and 1 each from the municipalities of Basud, Mercedes and San Lorenzo Ruiz. These additional cases complete the province’s current COVID-19 active cases at 427 where 420 of them are still sick and there is no recorded number of recoveries.
Meanwhile, 5 negative results were distributed for the province in the said report.

In relation to this, the authorities continously remind everyone to be aware of the risk of Covid 19 infection in different settings. COVID-19 spreads more easily in crowded places, close-contact settings, and confined and enclosed spaces with poor ventilation. The risk is higher in places where these factors overlap.
Due to this, everyone is advised to stay indoors as much as possible, wear mask, maintain social distancing and sanitize hands frequently.
Qualified individuals are also encouraged to get vaccinated in order to protect themselves and the population from the virus.
