Newly installed Chief of Police of Daet Municipal Police Station PLtCol Arnel D. De Jesus ensures support on the Local Government Unit’s (LGU) programs and policy implementation especially now that the municipality is facing challenges on the surge of new Covid 19 infections.
In an interview yesterday, COP De Jesus stated that he and the LGU’s Chief Executive, Mayor Benito Ochoa had talked about certain matters with regards to his duty as the chief of police in the municipality during his courtesy call with the official.
According to the COP, Ochoa didn’t give much instructions aside from the continuous performance of their mandate in law enforcement, assuring peace and order and more importantly to intensify the enforcement of minimum health standards in the municipality in reference to the latest Executive Order signed by the Governor which is effective provincewide.
The COP promised his engagement in securing the public especially in the height of Covid 19 by deploying his men who will make sure that the people follow orders specifically the restriction of going outside of residences of unvaccinated individuals and children as well as the observance of new curfew hours and the strict implementation of minimum health protocols.
De Jesus added that aside from the LGU Official, he is set to meet with other groups and institutions in the municipality such as the drivers and operators of public vehicles to discuss about traffic management, policies and other important matters.
