A total of 92 beneficiaries in Camarines Norte received assistance from the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte (PGCN) through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The said assistance was in the form of Kabuhayan Starter Kits under the DOLE’s Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) which provides tools, jigs and equipments to individual beneficiaries to engage in income generating projects.
Among the 92 beneficiaries, 45 recipients of Food Preparation Kits are residents of neighboring towns of Basud, Daet, Talisay and Vinzons while the rest (52) came from the town of Labo where 9 received welding kits, 7 received carpentry kit, 1 electrical kit, 1 automotive repair kit, 1 vulcanizing kit, 8 sewing kit and 25 food preparation kit.

The awarding ceremony and distribution of kits was held last January 21, 2022 at Camarines Norte Agro Sports Complex.

Dole CamNorte Officer in Charge Renalyn Alano and Governor Egay Tallado represented by Prov. Admin Rebert U. Sale spearheaded the distribution together with the Provincial Government Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Chief Nida Tosoc.
Prior to the awarding of livelihood grant, initial screening and interview was conducted by the DSWD. While it is true that there are many livelihood assistance being offered by the government, the processes and requirements are very meticulous to select those who are deserving of the assistance.
Said project was DOLE’s contribution to the government’s agenda of inclusive growth through massive job generation and substantial poverty reduction.
