In an attempt to reduce COVID-19 transmission associated to non-compliance with health protocols, personnel of Daet Municipal Police Station under the supervision of OIC PLtCol Arnel D. De Jesus has augmented series of operations in different areas of said municipality.
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, personnel of said station conducted terminal inspection and visitation at Pentagon Terminal, Brgy. Camambugan.
Said personnel made sure that drivers and passengers of all transport vehicles strictly follow minimum health protocols including mandatory wearing of face masks, physical distancing and possession of vaccination cards.
Compliance of transport vehicles with the Department of Transport guidelines adherent to Covid response was also inspected.
On the same day, the team spread at different areas of town for the implementation of Oplan Sita for the implementation of health standards and observance of the safety protocols in driving to avoid accidents and other untoward incidents.
Intensified operations of police personnel are in response to the implementation of the existing Executive Order by the Provincial Government where stricter restrictions on the movement of unvaccinated individuals and limitations of capacity in transport and public places are still effective.
It can be recalled that the province remains at Covid 19 Alert Level 3 hence same restrictions apply.
