CAMNORTE PROVINCIAL TOURISM OFFICE AND CAMNORTE ARTISTS GROUP UNVEILS ART MONTH ACTVITIES

Camarines Norte Provincial Tourism Operations Office in partnership with Camarines Norte Artists Group (CNAG) and SM City Daet celebrates National Arts Month through a series of special exhibition of visual and performing arts.

Focused on the theme “Sining ng Pag-asa, Ani ng Sigla”, this year’s celebration aims to promote the province’s tourism, talents, local heritage, culture and to continue providing opportunities for harnessing artists’ creative energies in uplifting the CamNorteños spirit even in this new normal.

The celebration started through a program held yesterday, February 15, 2022 at SM City Daet’s activity center where the art exhibit featuring the works of local artists and designers was also formally opened.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Don Jason De Belen, President Of CNAG warmly welcomed the participants and thanked the Provincial Tourism Office and SM City Daet for their support and for providing them a platform to showcase their talent and creations to the community as well as for giving them an appreciative and conducive environment to grow as they envision continouosly cultivate arts and culture.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mariano “Bong” Palma, head of Provincial Tourism Operations Office encourages everyone to express at the same time appreciate all forms of art made by man as man is also a wonderful creation by God. He also assured that their office will remain as a vehicle in promoting arts and culture.

Mr. Nino Franco Morales, Mall Manager of SM City Daet in his message said that they are honored to host and bring close to people such activities and was hopeful for more partnership with the group and the CNPTOO.

The exhibit is located and can be viewed during mall hours until February 27, 2022.

Participating artists and designers in the exhibit are Don Jason De Belen, John Armel Abrasado, Cres Adlawan, Jolanda Apostol, Arwin Diaz, Paolo Guerero, Diane MacGowan, Arnel Padrigon, Ruel Santelices, Xavier Delfinado, Mark Zamudio, Karl Anton Zenarosa with special participation of JanD’s Creation by Jan Dayaon and Fernando Amorsolo Arts Foundation.

Other activities to watch out for are Painting Demo and Art Talks on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00pm and live Music and Dance Performances by the Tanghalang Kulturang CamNorteno on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00pm.

Promulgated by then President Corazon Aquino in 1991, Presidential Proclamation No. 683 declares February of every year as National Arts Month to celebrate artistic excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the Filipino heritage and culture.
