The Schools Division Office of Camarines Norte will be implementing the expanded limited face-to-face classes in public schools in the province starting March 1, 2022, after releasing a memorandum signed by Schools Division Superintended, Dr. Nympha Guemo.
This order is in accordance with the “Interim Guidelines on the Expansion of Limited Face-to-Face,” of the Department of Education (DepEd) dated February 2, 2022.
Implementation of limited face-to-face classes shall follow and strictly consider parameters both for public and private schools such as the following:
- Expansion schools have been validated as compliant with the standards of School Safety Assessment Tool (SST);
- Schools must be in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2 based on the periodic risks assessment by the DOH;
- Schools may already include other grade levels based on the capacity of schools;
- Schools or divisions must have secured the concurrence of the Local Chief Executive in the city or municipality where the expansion school is located and the schools must also have taken the proper coordination with their respective barangay officials;
- Students participating in the Face-to-face classes must have the written consent of their parents;
- Schools are given flexibility in contact time for teaching and learning provided that meals are not taken in school except during managed recess; and
- Only vaccinated teachers may participate and vaccinated learners shall be preferred.
SDO Camarines Norte has already identified schools to participate in the expanded phase of limited face-to-face classes to start on March 1, 2022.
Schools that have submitted/signified the intent to implement but are not found compliant o may still participate on a later date provided they have complied with all the requirements and met the standard and protocols set in the SSAT and DepEd – DOH JMC No. 1., S. 2021.
Meanwhile, private schools may deviate from the scheduled start of the implementation provided they inform and submit to SDS their implementation schedule.
