About 40,000 supporters attended and showed their support on Vice President Leni Robredo’s candidacy at the IloIlo grand rally held at Iloilo Sports Complex on Friday, February 25.
Organizers said that the rally was the largest gathering with the most number of Robredo supporters since the start of campaign period.
Tv personalities and hosts such as Edu Manzano, Cherry Pie Picache, Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, Ogie Diaz, and Gab Panganiban were present to entertain the supporters and showed also their support to the tandem.
The Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan campaign rally in Iloilo City ended on a high note as rock icon Ely Buendia took to the stage and performed a set of Eraserheads classics.
The former Eraserheads frontman was the final performer of the night. He opened his set with “Alapaap,” then performed “Ligaya,” and “Pare Ko” to a full, cheering crowd as Leni and her daughters danced and sang along.
“Basta’t iboto niyo si Leni at si Kiko!” Ely ad-libbed as he wrapped up his performance.
Meanwhile, hashtags #ILOILOisPink and #HalaBiraLeniKiko tops Twitter’s trending posts during the course of the rally.
Before the grand rally in IloIlo city, the team visited other provinces of Oton, Concepcion, Ajuy, Passi, Pototan and Sta. Barbara.
