Department of Health (DOH) CHD- Bicol reported on March 3, 2022, that all fully vaccinated adults (18 years old and above) are now eligible to receive single-dose booster shots at least THREE MONTHS after the second dose of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac, and Sputnik V.
In the meantime, those who received the Janssen vaccine can receive booster shots at least two months after their initial dose. Booster shots are also not recommended for children aged 12-17.
Based on the DOH Center for Health Development (CHD)-Bicol statistics, Camarines Norte ranks 4th place in Vaccination Ranking in Bicol provinces, recording 508,737 vaccinated individuals with an 8.08% coverage rate of the 80% target population.
DOH assures that all vaccines with a Philippine FDA Emergency Use Authorization have been proven safe and effective.
