As the rollout of pediatric vaccination for kids age 5 to 11 begins in the province, Department of Health (DOH) and Provincial Health Office (PHO) continously encourage parents to have their children vaccinated against COVID-19.

A total of 60 children were inoculated on the launching of Resbakuna at Camarines Norte Prov’l Hospital on Tuesday, March 15.

Hospital management ensured a child friendly atmosphere at the vaccination area where balloons and superhero characters are installed and children were treated with goodies from hospital staff, JCI Daet Kabihug and SM City Daet.

Present to grace the activity were PHO Dr.Arnel Francisco, DOH prov’l officer Dr. Joy Iraola, acting PHO1 Dr. Rachelle Diezmo, pediatric department chief Dr. Marissa Obal and JCI Daet Kabihug president Jerson Miranda.

Today, roll out also begins at vaccination sites in Central Plaza Mall and SM City Daet.

On the other side, the Department has reminded parents to closely monitor their children after being vaccinated against COVID-19 for possible adverse effects and immediately report to authorities for appropriate action.

Moreover, authorities clarified that said vaccination was not mandatory and that the public was assured that vaccines were proven safe and effective.
