Bicol Region Provinces will stay under COVID-19 alert level 2 until the end of March based on the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
In conjunction with this, the Incident Management Team Camarines Norte already lifted some of the COVID-19 protocols recently including the lifting of curfew hours effective last March 15, the same day IATF decided on the new alert level of the whole country.
According to Provincial Health Officer and Incident Commander for Health, Dr. Arnel Francisco, the province’s current immunization coverage is still low.
As of now, the province is still at 53% of the target population to get their vaccines.
In order to reach the lowest alert level which is alert level 1, the province needs to at least have 70% of vaccinated individuals or immunization coverage of the province.
However, despite staying under alert level 2, it is quite noticeable that everything is starting to get back to normal.
Meanwhile, DOH still encourages everyone to practice minimum health protocols to keep safe and get their vaccines for protection.
