In March, the price index for certain items in Camarines Norte increased, based on the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Special Release Report, which was issued on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Transportation tops up the list with a 1.72% change, while housing, electricity, gasoline, and other fuels with a 1.17% increase.
An increase in the price index of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods and Services, Health, Furnishings Household Equipment, and Routine House Maintenance was also observed.
On the other hand, a “downtrend” in the price index of Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages was noticed.
While other commodities, such as Education Services, Information and Communication, Clothing and Footwear, Recreation and Culture, Restaurant and Accommodation Services, and Financial Services, are stable.
As a result, the peso’s worth in 2018 was barely 87 centavos in March.
