Dong Padilla led the May 9 polls over Gov. Edgardo Tallado who aspires for reelection bid for provincial governor. Padilla together with other provincial officials who won in 2022 elections were proclaimed earlier by the Camarines Norte Provincial Board of Canvassers at Provincial Capitol of Camarines Norte.


After garnering a total of 162,081 votes based on the Comelec Transparency Media Server as of May 10, 2022, 9:47 PM and from 100% of Election Returns, Padilla is on the point of winning the gubernatorial race by a landslide over Tallado’s 147,985 votes.

Municipality of Labo Mayor Joseph Ascutia on the other hand, won over Vice Governor Jonah Pimentel in the Vice Gubernatorial race with his 168,782 votes and 121,716 for Pimentel.
Meanwhile, incumbent Congresswoman Josie Baning-Tallado is set to win her re-election bid after accumulating 79,882 votes over her contender Dr. Cathy Barcelona-Reyes’ 74,662.


After the tragic news of Cong. Marisol “Toots” Panotes passing away last April 29, her daughter Rosemarie substituted for the May 9 elections. Panotes gained 96,270 votes versus other 2nd District Representative office seeker, Kuya Jojo Unico with 58,640 votes.

Provincial Board Member in 1st District’s top 5 are: Artemio Serdon, Lukad De Lima, Winnie Oco, Terisita Malubay and Muriel Pandi.
For the 2nd District: Concon Panotes, Atoy Moreno, Joseph Stanley Alegre, Pol Gache and Gerry Quiñones.
