The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Daet confirmed 2 new coronavirus cases in the municipality after the Department of Health (DOH) released the updated data for COVID-19 in Bicol Region.
In the official statement of Mayor Benito “B2K” Ochoa last June 20, the first confirmed case of covid-19 is a 30-year-old Nurse from Brgy. Magang, without travel history, with symptoms like cough, flu, and sore throat.
Meanwhile, the other patient is a 28-year-old woman from Brgy. IV and no travel history.
Patients are set to be quarantined and isolated.
LGU assures immediate contract tracing for the possible exposure of the patients.
Mayor Ochoa on the other hand asks for public’s cooperation in safety and health protocols to prevent the widespread of the virus.
