After stern deliberation, screening, and examinations, 264 new scholars in the municipality are now part of the LGU-Daet Expanded Scholarship Program for the year 2022-2023, says Hon. Mayor Benito S. Ochoa on Monday, September 12, 2022.
The LGU-Daet Expanded Scholarship Program is one of the salient programs of the Local Government Unit of Daet headed by Mayor Benito S. Ochoa. A program that focuses on granting stipend allowance amounting to 5,000.00 per semester– is beneficial to sustain scholars’ educational needs.
A 2nd year student from Camarines Norte State College taking up BSED Mathematics expressed his gratitude as he became part of the program since year 2021, “Dahil sa LGU scholarship nakabili po ako ng laptop ginamit ko rin po ang natanggap kong allowance sa aking pangangailangan gaya ng pamasahe at personal need ko po.”
Further, Hon. Mayor Benito Ochoa assures every Daeteños that they will increase the fund for the LGU scholars as part of its huge support in bringing inclusive and quality education among Daetenos. “Hangad ko po na mas pagbutihin pa ninyo ang inyong pag-aaral katuwang po ang LGU-Daet, asahan nyo po na patuloy na dadagdan ang pondo para sa mas marami pang karagdagang scholar sa mga susunod pang taon.” Mayor Benito in his message to new scholars of the LGU.
Meanwhile, the Local Government Unit of Daet now has 890 scholars under the established Expanded Scholarship Program.
Scholars are also reminded that the distribution of the stipend allowance is scheduled today September 12, 2022 (old scholars only) while the schedule for the new scholars will be held tomorrow, September 13, 2022.
