The municipality of Daet once again proved its competitiveness and excellence by placing 3rd Most Competitive in Economic Dynamism Pillar for the 1st – 2nd Class Municipality during the 10th Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit 2022, held today, October 20, 2022, at the Philippine International Convention Center(PICC), Pasay City, with the theme: A Decade of Excellence: Championing Innovation to Sustain Competitiveness .
The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit is an annual ranking ceremony of the most competitive Philippine cities and municipalities based on the five competitiveness pillars namely Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency, and Innovation.
The awarding is part of the 10th year celebration of the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit (CMCS) organized by the Department of Trade and Industry – Competitiveness Bureau through the International Council for Small Business Philippines as the Advocacy Partner.
It highlights the conferment of over 100 awards to deserving LGUs that excelled in the five (5) Competitiveness Pillars.
When it began on 2012, only 285 cities and municipalities joined the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI). Now 2022, 1,608 cities and municipalities joined in.
LGU- Daet headed by Mayor Benito S. Ochoa will continuously work hard and strive to be at par with the other 1st and 2nd class municipalities in terms of competitiveness.
