In the honor of Hon. Municipal Mayor Benito S. Ochoa and Municipal Administrator Joan Kristine T. De Luna, the Local Government Unit of Daet, paid a courtesy visit to the (BJMP) Daet District Jail facility in Barangay San Isidro, Daet Camarines Norte earlier today, Oct. 20, 2022, through Municipal Information Officer Joan De La Fuente.

JINSP Edgar L. Francisco, OIC Jail warden, highlighted the improvements in infrastructure made possible by the collaborative efforts and generous donations of LGU-Daet and other civil society organizations.

As you approach the facility, you will be welcomed by murals/wall paintings created by the person deprived of liberty (PDL), as well as the landscape of their mini garden. JINSP Edgar L. Francisco acknowledged how creative and talented PDL are, stating that they have significantly contributed to the growth of the facility while also utilizing their abilities and talents.

Further, JINSP Francisco also discussed their rigid preparations and plans for the upcoming National Correctional Consciousness (NACOCO) Month to kick-off next week.

According to JINSP Francisco, on October 27-28, Daet District Jail and Labo District Jail will present “Livelihood Display,” or the display of unique art pieces created by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), to be displayed at the SM City Daet in association with NACOCO month celebrations.

Meanwhile, LGU-Daet handed over packs of vitamins for the PDL of Daet District Jail.
