PBA LEGENDS Alvin Patrimonio, Gerry Codiñera, Bong Alvarez, Marlou Aquino, Willie Miller and a handful of other basketball stars personally facilitate the training of more than 250 under-13 boys from the different towns of CamNorte on Tuesday, Aug. 15, in San Vicente Agro-Cultural and Sports Complex.
Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) CamNorte Chapter spearheads the grassroots program in cooperation with the local government unit of San Vicente, along with Gilas Uragon Eagles Club thru its new applicants.
According to SBP R5 secretary Allan Augusto the hoop clinic “is only the initial step because a league for under-13 kids will be organized after this activity, and a similar program shall also be held with high school basketball players this year.”
Present to oversee the success of the event are FIBA commissioner Emman G. Faraon, SBP prov’l director Roel A. Weber and SBP prov’l deputy director Ninoy S. Era.
